This new release from Amalgam Audio comes compliments of Oban. Oban is a new moniker from Emote music head honcho Jacob Todd and John Templeton that represents a more minimal and techy direction.
‘Colorfield One’ brings together some jackin’, stripped out beats that set the groove while incessant synth sounds intimidate us to listen further, easing its way forward with the dancefloor in tow.
On remixes are Gavin Mulhall aka Silinder, who turns up the heat with a rumbling, peaky affair using parts of the original and putting an exciting twist on it. Boshell & Cody wrap things up with two similar mixes, deep in their delivery but effective in their enticement.
