Maybe an option to get rid of the ads whilest logged in as a registered member? At least the one in the News header. I find it a little annoying...

Although it's not always there? Some algoritme maybe?

I'm sure it would be a TOS (Terms of service violation) and the forums have a possibility of being term'd and lost. The ads provide for the freeforums to be free. :D

There is however a community chest at the bottom of Thomas' forums to pay for removal of ads. I'm sure it can't be too much per month.

If you're using Firefox try the extension Adblock and or NoScript.
