After converting luminaries such as Richie Hawtin and Grandmaster Flash to their Traktor and Traktor Scratch digital DJing systems, Native Instruments will soon launch the Pro editions of both of these interfaces, with the aim of making them the industry standard. Any Native Instruments customers who own both Traktor Scratch and Traktor 3 will receive a free software update to Traktor Pro, which is nice.
The Pro versions promise "superior creative workflow, an extremely functional user interface, powerful sound shaping features, advanced syncing and control functions, and much more" with a focus on "efficiency and ease-of-use" on up to 4 MIDI controlled decks. There are better and more advanced syncing functions, new sound effects, and a more advanced and easier way of sorting and browsing through your music to suit your preference - with the new Crate Flick system allowing you to browse through artwork, like you would in a vinyl record box.
Traktor Pro will be available November 1st for $229 / 199 EUR. Traktor Scratch Pro will be available for $669 / 599 EUR.
