enTechno : 36 hours of dance !
The Greek dance scene at Cultural Center «Hellenic Cosmos» on the 5th of September!
Over the past few years, a new generation of Greek electronic artists have accomplished something that still remains a difficult feat to the majority of mainstream Greek artists, to make a breakthrough in the international dance arena by releasing tracks on foreign labels and giging in the most esteemed clubs and festivals around the world.
It’s a fact that Greece possesses a vibrant dance scene that craves for spaces and locations that they can promote their work and their aesthetics in, locations that live up to an alternative mentality, technically apt and familiar to those who refuse to forget and those who crave to know the «rave» aspect of a party.
Apart from the artists who are still based in Athens, many djs/producers have already relocated abroad in cities like London and Berlin, establishing an even closer relationship with the international dance scene and putting together a bio that impresses with gigs at well-known festivals like Movement (Detroit/U.S.A.), Sonar (Barcelona/Spain), Εxit (Novi Sad/ Serbia), Winter Μusic Conference (Miami/U.S.A.) and many more.
Therefore it’s obvious beyond a shadow of doubt, that it is time for the Greek dance scene to receive its kiss of life and to be promoted in the way that it truly deserves, as a unity and not fragmented. This is the basic motive behind the initiative of Panayiotis Pilafas, a New York based music talent, and Nektarios Ioannidis, founder of ‘Team ReSolute’, who after a really successful events series in New York, decided to organize a 24 hour dance event, in their birth place, Athens. “enTechno”, takes place on the 5th of September at the Cultural Center «Hellenic Cosmos»

www.speakingincode.com for which we should note a comment from his premiere in Boston’s Independent Film Festival on April 23rd: “So for those who seek something new, for those who experience passion, for those whose hearts combust on the dancefloor, I urge you to go see Speaking In Code when it comes to your city”. The program of enTechno is completed by the screening of the renowned film "Berlin Calling", starring Paul Kalkbrenner.
